Wow finally a new post!

So sorry, we are so far behind on this thing. Things are really starting to pick up and we have been so busy on the road and at home with our horses. We recently hit a rodeo in Goshen Indiana, and Christal Craig took home the first place pay check out of a 2 day event. Then Monday night we were down in Liberty Kentucky and christa Conway took hom a 4th place py check out of some close competition. ONly 2 tenths of a second between 1st and 4th. There has also been some open rodeos and horseshows the girls have been attending and taking the money at. Check back, and we will try to have more updates soon!

Hoosier Cowgirls Team up with PURINA

Come see us all at the Purina Booth at the Hoosier Horse Fair this coming weekend on April 1, 2006. We will be joining them at their booth there to answer any questions for the up and coming barrel racers and the ones that are already at it. We will have a donation box out for any one who wants to support our Barrel Racing Team. Check back next week and we will tell you any events that happened while there.

Dayton and Columbus Ohio Longhorn Rodeo

February 3rd, 2005

Well 4 of the girls headed to Columbus Ohio for another Longhorn Rodeo. We didn't have much luck that night. Unfortunatly sometimes, sometimes slack is the night the rodeo crews find out how the footing is, and we were in the slack. Well Christas horse fell completly down turning the 2nd barrel. Christals horse almost went completly down on the 2nd barrel as well, being told they seen sparks come off of her horse feet. Yep, we were running on cement. Now had we known, we wouldn't have ran. So we went home with empty hands.

Dayton Ohio

As of me writing this, Christa was sitting in the 2nd/3rd spot place, so we will have to wait and see how it holds out. Hopefully she will have a nice check coming. She had a great run. Just before she ran in, a girl noticed Christas bridle was broken. They were able to tape it up for a temporary fix to run in.

Needless to say, at both of these rodeos the Man Upstairs was watching us. We came out of both rodeos untouched, Blessed as we went in and Blessed as we came out

Januaury Rodeos

To start the season off, for the first rodeo of the year, which is going to be at Conseco Fieldhouse, all us girls have gotten interviewed, and then at Friday nights rodeo they will be taking action shots and putting it in the sports section of the Saturday Indy Star paper. So be sure to pick one up.

*First Stop: January 6th & 7th, 2006: Conseco Fieldhouse, Indianapolis IN. Worlds Toughest Bulls and Broncs

Christa had the fastest time on friday night, but tipped over the 2nd Barrel. Christal's horse tripped over the bar coming through the alley way but still managed to pick up a 5th place check. The rest of the girls ended up in the Top 10 of the night. Then saturday night, Christa took a 2nd place check with an excellent run, while Christal took home another 5th place, after unfortunately repeating the 1st nights run and stumbling pretty bad over that same allet way bar. And again everyone of our girls finished in the Top 10 of the night. We all had a great time, this rodeo was an excellent way to start off the year.

Forgot to mention we did end up in another Indianapolis paper for this rodeo. Our team took 2 interviews for the weekend.

http://www.intakeweekly.com/articles/4/023880-3974-154.html short piece from newspaper. Unfortunatly I can no longer copy and paste a link to the Indy Star clip we had, Maybe I can get it on here another way....

January 21, 2006, Star and Stacy head to Columbus Ohio for a Worlds Toughest Rodeo, 2 of us were at an awards banquet while the 5 girl although wanted to run, didn't make callins. Stacy had an excellent run and took home a 2nd place check which was great, although Star had an excellent run as well, her horse was smoking to the first barrel and got past it just enough to cost her a check.

January 21, 2006: 2 of us girls, Christa and Christal headed to the GBRA Banquet. Had a really good time, and took home a good portion of awards. We had a great time but wouldv'e rather been joining the girls at Columbus Ohio's rodeo.

January 26, 2006: 3 of us girls headed to Cincinnatti Ohio for a Longhorn Rodeo, it was Thursday night because we were in the slack, it was Christa, Christal and Susan. It was somewhat of an interesting trip, we ended up running a little late due to our transmission in Christal's "new" truck. But we said a little prayer and made it there just fine. Anyways, the other 2 are in Saturdays perf (Stacy and Star). Updates coming after the weekend......

Star's horse slipped and Stacy's horse had a check getting time but tipped over the 2nd barrel.
